Working together we create your perfect eye tattoo enhancement, results can be a natural definition, or a more defined eyeliner effect.  No rush appointments, understanding any concerns

Eyeliner

Subtle or dramatic, eyeliner that’s more than waterproof.  You can achieve thin eyeliner in two visit, for very dark or thick eyeliner multiple visits are required – A full explanation is given during your appointment when we discuss the shape and how much colour you are looking to achieve

Lash Definer

Add subtle definition to your eye line by adding colour only thru your lash line.  A little row of dots along the bottom lash line, and a thin line thru the lashes on top, gives the effect of a fuller lash line, yet still very subtle

Below you’ll get to read specific eyeliner tattoo FAQ’s and a brief guide to the aftercare of your fresh tattoo.

Are eyeliner tattoos painful ?

You’d think so, but with use of numbing creams the treatment is not at all painful. Tickly and slightly uncomfortable say some, others who are used to eye procedures say there’s nothing to it.

Will my eyes be swollen afterwards ?

With Lash Definition treatments swelling is hardly noticeable, with top and bottom thicker eyeliner there will be a little swelling, more so the second day.  Eyelids are very sensitive so treatments in this area are very gentle.  For a first treatment the healed result will be quite subtle, building with further treatments.  Full black eyeliner is a commitment to several visits over several months, the eyelid cannot take pigment quicker without damage.

Do I keep my eyes open during the treatment ?

In the main the eyes stay gently closed with the lid held taught during the treatment to minimise blinking and eye flickering.  Towards the end of the treatment some clients are happy to stay open eyed for the lower lid colouring.

Do I have to have full eyeliner to define my eyes ?

Not everyone wants to wake up with full eyeliner, you can enhance just the top lid, the bottom, or have a delicate line running only thru your lashes on top, and a tiny row of dots thru the bottom. This is called Lash Definition and is very subtle while still really enhancing the eye line.

I wear lash extensions, will I need to remove them ?

Yes you will need to remove them.  A clear view and easy access to the lash line is needed, and some lash extensions are very full or very close to the lash line not allowing this.

Why is the pigment semi permanent ?

Semi permanent makeup is also called Micropigmentation as it uses micro pigments.  Because they lack size, they also lack density of colour, so the colour fades quicker.  Were the pigment molecules bigger, the colour would be more dense and more permanent, just like normal tattoo pigment.

How long will a semi permanent eyeliner tattoo last ?

After achieving your desired result, you should expect to do annual top ups to keep the colour looking fresh.   Without further top ups the colour will fade away, but some may remain for many years.  This is best understood by comparing it to hair colouring.  When letting hair colouring fade, the colour the hair fades to cannot be predicted nor how long it takes to disappear, if at all.  For this reason it is so important to have someone you trust, and whose work you have seen, perform any cosmetic tattooing on your face
